Fall into Skin Care
by Probe Progen 0 Comments
Fall is right around the corner, which typically means cooler temperatures that could affect the look and feel of the skin. Today we will discuss ways on how you can make simple changes to your skincare routine to prepare your skin before the fall weather arrives, as well as how to take care of it when the cooler weather months arrive so that your skin stays healthy and radiant no matter the change of temperature.
Moisturize and Protect
No matter what season it is, it is important to keep your skin moisturized and hydrated. However, due to the dry air during the fall, it is important to make sure to moisturize daily. It is recommended for the moisturizer to have SPF, to better protect the skin from further damage caused by the rays of the sun. The same tip goes for the body as well, make sure that you invest in a good body lotion to prevent dry and itchy skin this fall.
To Exfoliate or To Not Exfoliate
Make sure to exfoliate the dead skin cells that have accumulated through summer from tanning or exposure to the sun. However, do not over-exfoliate during the fall by using harsh chemicals, but instead, use face masks or treatments that are more gentle on the skin. You could even make your own face masks with at-home ingredients, as the more organic the ingredients the better it is for your skin.
Humidify the Room
Due to lower temperatures that will take place on the outside, it is ideal that we have higher temperatures on the inside. To keep your skin from becoming dry from the heater or dry air inside the house, we recommend using a humidifier so that your skin stays hydrated whenever possible.
Take Care of Troubled Spots
Anytime there is a shift in the weather or shift in time, due to time zones, it is important to keep in mind that your skin may react to it. Therefore, it is essential to watch out for acne that may start to arise from such stressors and to take care of it before it is too late. We recommend using gentle cleansers and serums for your skin type.
Analyze your Skin
Evaluate your skin from within with a skin analyzer to accurately evaluate your skin. Ask your dermatologist if they have Pro|Gen Probe APM skin analyzers that scan the skin’s moisture, sebum, pore, melanin, acne, wrinkle, and sensitivity for them to better analyze your skin so that they could provide you with more precise recommendations for the fall.
