When summer rolls around, the sunshine and warm temperatures send most people outside as much as possible. And if you own a salon, medical spa, dermatology clinic, or another business along those lines, you may have noticed an uptick in the number of people coming in seeking skincare assistance. 

If you have been keeping up with our blog, in our last edition we went over the outer layer of the skin: The epidermis is the layer of skin that is most visible to you and the one you adorn with makeup, lotions, and moisturizers. However, there are two more layers of skin that you may be unaware of.

When it comes to taking care of our skin, many of us only understand what’s on the surface. You may think as long as you are using the right products and face washes that your skin will stay in pristine condition, but this is not always the case. Your skin and its condition are affected by deeper layers than what is visible and you need to take care of these as well.
